I want the stream on main street
to sweep you off your aching soles
to cradle you and keep you from harm
deliver you into my open arms.
I’ll keep you from harm.
I’ll keep you from harm.
I want the rain to stop and the storm to pass
I want the howling wind to let us be,
so we can hold one another
feel safe and be together.
I’ll keep you from harm.
I’ll keep you from harm.

Alone, the girl screams out.
“Save me” she calls, her voice
swept away by the harsh
wind, so unforgiving.
With hope, the boy screams out.
“Let me” he calls, his voice
unheard through the crashing
waves, too heavy to hold
Alone. The girl screams out.
“Leave me” she calls, her voice
piercing deafening
silence. She wants to be
Alone. The boy whispers
“No.” and holds her closely
they sit in the eye of
The storm, unforgiving.

Memories are contained
in our minds where they remain
A photo album full of seamless blurs
The best ones by right are yours.
I told you I’d swim the Atlantic,
not just to try and sound romantic
I meant what i said like I always do
Like when I say “Thank You…
“For being you. And for being true”
Like when I said I’d do anything in that photobooth
Anything to hold you in my arms… it was the truth.

When you left me
and didn’t even ring,
It hurt so much
So it must mean something.
I want to see you.
Just come back home.
